HISTORY
ERTF (Études et Réalisations Techniques Françaises) was founded in 1991 around vehicle tracking and geolocation technologies. The company quickly shifted its focus toward motorsport and governmental services. Over time, motorsport activities became increasingly dominant and eventually almost exclusive.
Independent company based in Brittany, ERTF designs and manufactures its products locally (embedded boards, software, devices, mounting systems). With strict quality control and full mastery of its technologies, ERTF closely follows the evolution of motorsport in order to continuously deliver adapted solutions.
As early as 1999, ERTF began supplying GPS systems for the Dakar and has remained continuously involved in rally-raid ever since
In 2008, ERTF became the owner of the SENTINEL system. Originally based purely on radio transmissions, ERTF enhanced it by integrating GPS, turning it into a system capable of detecting risk situations (collisions, immobilizations during special stages, overtaking). It has since evolved into an intelligent ecosystem for risk prevention, patented since 2014..
services
ERTF is able to provide a wide range of services:
- Electronic GPS roadbooks for rally-raid events (navigation, control, safety, timing);
- Reconnaissance and opening equipment for rally preparation;
- Deployment of “Sentinel” functions for overtaking management and collision prevention;
- Speed control systems for the French Truck Racing Cup;
- GPS-based rankings for regularity events such as Rallye des Gazelles, Histo-Monte, etc.
ERTF’s expertise in extreme environments and high-level technical capabilities make it a preferred partner for major events such as the W2RC World Championship, including the Dakar Rally.
Its clients include Amaury Sport Organisation, ODC Events (Rallye du Maroc), Morocco Desert Challenge, the Automobile Club de Portugal, as well as manufacturers such as KTM, Honda Racing Corporation, Hero, Sherco, Toyota, MD Sports, Mini, and others.
